Steve Jobs once said this, and it had a profound impact on my outlook of the design. I started to question why most everyday things were so awful. Was it because the product was not being well thought of, or was it due to poor marketing? It failed because it didn’t work as expected. As a consumer or end-user of a product or service, the experience wasn’t immersive enough to not allow me to think in these lines. It indeed augmented my curiosity, and I decided to learn about user experience design. That’s when I decided to pursue my masters at ASU.
When I was younger, I always loved the beauty of calligraphy. The way the strokes flowed together to create a piece of art was mesmerizing to me. So, I decided to take up calligraphy as a hobby. COVID helped me a lot in pursuing my hobby! Calligraphy has become my go-to hobby for when I need to unwind and de-stress. It has given me a creative outlet, a way to connect with others, and a sense of accomplishment that I never expected to find.
